Gah! Woke up this morning to one egg in the carton. :-/ Whoops! Apparently there were six, so Josh still got his breakfast lol. I on the other hand, had to improvise. I has my normal Oatmeal, but I added 1/2 a scoop of Dymatize Iso-100 gourmet vanilla, and some cinnamon. Made it taste like an oatmeal cookie! That paired with my morning coffee was perfect!
After last week’s soreness fest lol Josh and I decided that it would be best if we hit the weights 5 days on and 2 days off, to give me ample time to heal between workouts. Note, my legs are still sore to the touch as are my shoulders lol. Yesterday was chest day and I am just starting to get sore. DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) kick my booty lol
Today is back day. Back and Leg days are my heaviest lifting and hardest working days. They are the cause of most of my soreness. Today will look something like this:
- 3 sets of 15 Pull-ups concentrating mainly on my lats, which means wide overhand grip.
- 4 sets of 20 Close Grip Cable Rows Go up in weight each set. I use resistance bands for this.
- 3 sets of 15 Overhand Bent Over Rows Go up in weight each set.
- 3 sets of 15 Underhand/Reverse Grip Bent Over Rows. Go up in weight each set Now you may be saying isn’t this the same as the last workout? Yes, same movement, but when you change your hand placement, it works different muscles. Overhand will work more of your upper back, where underhand or reverse grip will work your lats more.
- 4 sets of 20 Each Side One Arm Dumbbell Rows. Go up in weight each set.
- 4 Sets of 20 Lat Pull Downs Go up in weight each set
This workout kills me lol but it has been building my back up!!! I am finally getting some noticeable lats and real definition in my upper back.
I was also pretty excited yesterday because I received an unexpected package from Vitacost.com
You gotta love when stuff like this happens ha ha ha ha
I was pretty stoked! Three products caught my eye and I thought I would explore them a bit more.
First here is the Hair, Skin, and Nails supplement from Delta Labs
This formula packed with 28 essential vitamins and minerals is suppose to help your hair grow stronger and faster, keep a healthy glow in your skin, and help your nails grow stronger and prevent chipping. I am down for all of that!
I am in that awkward stage of growing my hair out lol. So if this helps speed the process up, then I am all for it!!!!
The next product is also a Delta Labs product called Resveratrol.
This is to help promote healthy youthful skin. Made with Grape seed extract and Red Wine extract (Alcohol not included ha ha ha) Both of which are suppose to slow the aging process. Please by all means slow it down, heck throw it in reverse
The last product I want to tell you about is Ab Cuts from Revolution Lifestyle
Now this is not your run of the mill fat burner. This is actually a rev’ed up CLA supplement! No jitters no headaches It is basically just filled with all the essential fatty acids that help your lose the excess fat.
CLA (CONJUGATED LINOLEIC ACID)
CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid found in meat, dairy, and safflower oil. Research suggests that when paired with a healthy diet and regular exercise program conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) may help to reduce body fat and enhance lean tissue. CLA can be used by anyone hoping to decrease body fat and/or improve their physique.*
GLA (GAMMA LINOLENIC ACID)
GLA is derived from the seeds of the evening primrose plant oil, and/or borage oil.*
ALA (ALPHA LINOLENIC ACID)
ALA is regularly found in Flaxseed. ALA is very beneficial Omega 3 fatty acid that provides an array of health and physique assistance. Along with physique improvement, ALA has clinical proof supporting its positive effects on Cardiovascular health.*
EPA & DHA (FISH OIL)
EPA and DHA are the two fatty acids that make fish oil so beneficial. These two fatty acids have been linked to heart benefits and even body fat reduction
Not gonna lie I was super stoked about this one!!! I just ran out of my CLA so this couldn’t have come at a better time!!!
Now Zoe and I are off to hit the gym.

Hope you all have a fabulously fit day!!!

You said 5 days on and 2 days off to give yourself rest time? Umm.. did I miss the rest in there??
Lol It will start this week so Saturday and Sunday will be my new rest days. I was taking 2 rest days before, just it was 3 days on 1 day off. With as sore as I have been, I had to make it 2 days in a row. i have been wiped since starting the new workouts. My back DOM’s have already started today, but I am already seeing some changes which is awesome!
